Numbness in the hands and fingers, carpal tunnel syndrome

If your hand goes numb — that is not normal. The problem may come from the neck, not the wrist.

The main cause of numbness in the hands is pressure on the median nerve. The median nerve runs from the wrist into the hand through the carpal tunnel. This nerve provides sensation to all the fingers except the little finger.

The solution

With osteopathy, electrotherapy and physical modalities, the neck–shoulder–wrist line is corrected, the nerves are freed, circulation is restored and strength returns to the hand. Don’t delay — a nerve that stays compressed for a long time can be damaged.
