Osteopathy is a safe and gentle method, but it is not universal. The following situations are considered “red flags”.
1If these occur together with neck complaints — see a neurologist, not an osteopath
- Dizziness
- Trembling
- Nausea
- Vision going dark
If your neck is stiff and you experience these symptoms when moving, you should see a neurologist without delay.
2General principle
Osteopathy does not replace medication. In cases such as an acute inflammatory process, a very recent injury, suspected tumors, severe osteoporosis and bleeding disorders, an assessment by the appropriate specialist is needed first.
We look not at where the pain is, but at where it comes from.
