Chronic fatigue: a body that cannot switch off “fight or flight” mode

Sometimes fatigue goes away neither with sleep nor with vitamins.

Because at the root of this condition lie the nervous system, lymph flow, the fasciae and even emotional burden.

1

What does the body do?

  • The nervous system cannot get out of “fight or flight” mode
  • The fasciae remain tight
  • Breathing becomes shallow — the diaphragm does not work fully
  • Lymphatic flow weakens, and energy cannot circulate through the body
2

The osteopathic approach

  • The nervous system is regulated
  • The diaphragm and breathing mechanics open up
  • Lymphatic flow is activated
  • Energy balance is restored

Alongside this, checking your vitamin and mineral balance is also useful — sometimes part of the fatigue is a simple deficiency.

We look not at where the pain is, but at where it comes from.
